Maata kacheri is a compilation of articles published in Swati monthly. Turaga Krishna Mohana Rao , author of the book worked as a school teacher and also as a journalist in Andhra Janatha, Hyderabad Bulletin, Andhra Patrika. He joined as a News Reporter in All India Radio, Hyderabad in 1960. He brought out "Pendli Pareeksha" in 1961. He played an important role in organizations like Navya Saahiti Samiti, Indian National Theatre, Working Journalists' Union and Press Reporters Guild. He breathed his last in a tragic accident at Nakrekal on 2 October 1974.
In his preface Vakati Panduranga Rao rightly salutes the author by quoting 'Laugh, the whole world laughs with you!'. Pratyusha Prachuranalu brought out this book and copies can be had from Vishalandhra Publishing House.
