Jeevitamlo Malupu
'Jeevitamlo Malupu' is a compilation of Telugu stories authored by Vajha Sitarama Sarma (Kamalakanth) and first published in 1963. During the period from 1961 to 1963 all stories from this compilation 'Jeevitamlo Malupu' were published in Andhra Bhoomi and Andhra Janata magazines.Kamalakanth was employed at the post office from 1960 to 1973 where in he thoroughly enjoyed the working environment. He expressed his work experience in the words 'agar firdouse jameen asth, amin asth amin asth' meaning, if ever there is a heaven on earth, it has to be the place where he is working,viz, postoffice. Stories like 'Mooga veena' and others are A LA O HENRY stories were written in chaste Telugu so also Jeevitamlo Malupu was the first book of the writer proved to be turning point in his literary career.
He is a keen observer of socio economic problems of contemporary generation and exploitation of women in particular. He has written several short stories during 1960-1974, published in various telugu magazines. He has written five books, three novels and two story compilations.
