Battula VV Apparao is altogether a different kind of a Telugu Poet. He uses very simple words that you and I use them very often in our day to day life. But the same words become poems with a sharp spark when they emerge out from Apparao’s voice.

Most of the poems are so ‘mini’ that they fit nicely on our mobile phone screen! And often he sends them as SMS to all his friends. His reaction to the current events immediately appears on our cell phones as mini poems. Really he is a tech savvy poet using the latest technology of messaging! Many of the mini poems written by him between 1987 and 1991 were published in Visalandhra daily newspaper. In 2003 his poems appeared as wall writings in Rangareddy district on issues related to agricultural labor.  Vaamana Prasthanam is a compilation of some of the poems written by him and is offered for free download.

He names his poetry as ‘Vaamana’ because they are very short.
